House, Contracting Officer, 816-426-7456 x235 SUPPLY SOURCES SOUGHT for manufacture of Radar Product Generator Electrical Equipment Cabinets for the National Weather Service. SIC code 3499. The quantity required is 44 each to facilitate retrofit of 190 existing cabinets which were placed by Lockheed Martin, the prime contractor for the design and deployment of the 1988 Doppler Weather Surveillance Radar (WSR-88D). The new cabinets must be exact configuration replicas of existing cabinets. The National Weather Service requires 22 of Lockheed Martin configuration 1221815, and 22 of configuration 1221816. Lockheed Martin specifications indicate only one source, Zero Corporation/APW Enclosure Products, Monson, MA, the original manufacturer of the cabinets. Existing Government drawings are incomplete as to changes made during the manufacturing process, parts listings and materials. Some parts of existing cabinets in the WSR-88D radar network were manufactured for specific product use by Zero Corporation/APW Enclosure Products. Concerns having the ability to provide exact replicas of existing cabinets are required to submit written notification to the Contracting Officer listed in this notice within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication. In order to be considered, firms must furnish detailed information concerning their capability to provide this supply. Such information shall include at a minimum: name, telephone number and point of contact of firms to whom this supply or similar supply has been provided previously. In order to be considered, firms must furnish detailed product data demonstrating their capability to supply a product that will satisfy the Government's needs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 45 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
