The required specifications must be met: 1) the power amplifier must provide pulse powers of at least 600 watts, with pulse lengths of at least 100 milliseconds. 2) The amplifier must be capable of a 10% duty cycle at full output power. 3) The amplifier must provide linear amplification with a gain of at least. 4) Pulse rise and fall times must be less than 300 nanoseconds 5) The amplifier must cover the frequency range from 550 MHz to 610 6) The amplifier must have output blanking controlled by a TTL level with switching times less than 2 microseconds. 7) Pulse amplitude droop at full output power must less than 8% for a 20 millisecond pulse.
