U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCLANT),
Norfolk, VA is procuring Hazardous Waste Removal and Disposal Services
for the US Coast Guard Integrated Support Command (ISC) Boston, 427
Commercial Street, Boston, MA. The Contractor shall provide all labor,
equipment, material, transportation, supervision and other items and
services necessary to remove, recycle and/or dispose of all regulated
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and non-regulated
hazardous material wastes generated by the ISC Boston and its tenant
commands. The hazardous waste may consist of the following items: oily
rags, filters and oil; bilge water; antifreeze; paint and related
material; grease; barium peroxide oxidizer; fuel oil/water mixture,
combustible and corrosive liquids; sand blast grit; bromine filters;
various types of batteries; various types of flammable gas, liquids and
solids; trichloroethylene; non-RCRA solid; universal light tubes; and,
lab-packs. The hazardous waste items range in quantity from an
estimated 25 lbs. to 318,730 lbs. The solicitation will be issued
utilizing FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures with the intention of awarding
an Indefinite Delivery/ Requirements type contract with firm fixed
unit prices whose total duration shall not exceed 60 months/5 years.
The estimated period of performance will be from 01 October 2000
through 30 September 2001 with four (4) 12-months option periods, if
exercised by the Government. This requirement is restricted 100%
set-aside for HUBZONE small business concerns. The standard industrial
code is 4953 with a size standard of $10.0 million. Any correspondence
concerning this acquisition shall reference Request for Quotation (RFQ)
Number DTCG84-00-Q-AA1002. The solicitation, and any subsequent
