Military Sealift Command requires a contract(s) to operate radio room equipment, as currently configured, aboard AO, AE and AFS Class USNS vessels. The awardee(s) will be responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of the communications and navigation equipment, manning the communications department and performing limited maintenance on related systems and equipment. Competition is unrestricted. Contract(s) is(are) for a firm period of two years with one two-year option. A firm quantity of 7 ships is anticipated to deploy from the U.S. West Coast and a firm quantity of 8 ships is anticipated to deploy from the U.S. East Coast. There will be optional quantities of up to eight additional vessels which may be split between East and West Coasts. This solicitation will be made available on Military Sealift Command's homepage.
