The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego intends to issue a restricted solicitation to provide photocomposition, computer digitized artwork, and maintenance of the Navy's Planned Maintenance System (PMS) utilizing the contractor's software and hardware. The Government intends to negotiate with Volt Alphanumeric Publication Systems. Deliverables include, but are not limited to, generating camera ready copies, loading new documents into the database, generating indices, master file updates, listings and providing to the Government on-line access to the unclassified portion of the database. Delivery under the contract will be FOB Destination (San Diego CA and Norfolk VA). The period of performance will be for a period of six months with one six-month option to extend the contract period. After this time period expires, a new competitive follow-on procurement to N00244-95-D-5150 will have been established. Volt has a confidential facility security clearance, and can process classified information on the computer system. A performance demonstration/validation was previously conducted and Volt has previously demonstrated an acceptable level of production.
