Locke, Contract Specialist, 212-264-6707 Description: Project Title and Location: FY00 Advance Software Engineering Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ Description of Work: This is an Unrestricted Procurement. The SIC Code is 1542 with a size standard of $27.5 Million. The estimated construction cost is $15 to 20 million. The work under this contract will be the renovation of an existing building to a modern software engineering research facility. The building is approximately 87,000 SF. The major work to the building will include, but is not limited to, exterior and interior architectural renovation, complete electrical and communication rewiring, installation of a HVAC system with all its related components, and a new fire suppression and prevention system. Structural retrofit work is also required. There will be associated site work, such as parking facility, sanitary sewer and drainage. The demolition work will include lead and asbestos abatement. The completion time is approximately 730 calendar days. Plans and Specifications (Specs) will be available on or around 16 August 2000. The package will be issued on CD-ROM.
