The work involves the following: 1. Renovation of the replacement of existing HVAC system in Buildings No. 1604, 4114, 5558, and 7150. Interior demolition/ replacement of fan coil units, ducts, cooling towers, interior and exterior finishes, etc. The work also involves complete renovation of the plumbing water and natural gas distribution systems and upgrading of the electrical system. 2. Asbestos/lead abatement during demolition work as identified in the specifications. This work shall be performed at the Turner Job Corps Center in Albany, GA. The construction completion date is estimated to be 147 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost range for construction is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on or about August 21, 2000, only from the Architect/Engineering firm of Harrison and Spencer, Inc., 501 E. Hillcrest Industrial Boulevard, Macon, Georgia. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. A Pre-bid walk-thru is scheduled for September 7, 2000, at 2:00pm local time.
