In addition, some storage sheds and carports will be included. The new roofs will be asphalt shingle where roof slope permits and built-up roofing at all other units. Asbestos fascia, soffit, etc., exists on some housing units. Lead based paint exists at all housing areas. Estimated duration for the contract award will be an initial base period of 12 months with one (1) option period of 12 months for a total not-to-exceed of twenty-four (24) months. Option Periods will be exercised at the Government's discretion. The anticipated amount for the Base Period and each Option period is $5,000,000.00 with a not-to-exceed $10,000,000.00 for the life of the contract. The minimum guaranteed amount for the initial 12-month base period is $250,000.00 and for the 12-month Option Period is $50,000.00. The plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through either CD ROM, and/or the Internet. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of the Internet and CD ROM. Amendments to this solicitation will be issued as Internet only. No additional media (Floppy Disks, Faxes, or paper) will be provided unless the Government determines that it is necessary.
