synopsis/solicitation (NAFZK1-00-Q-0009) for commercial items prepared
in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, Streamlined
Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The
Wiesbaden Contracting Center, Germany intends to procure a combination
of over 40 German and American specification vehicles to include: GM
SPECIFICATION: Tow Trucks, Auto Transport, and Carry Alls; U.S.
SPECIFICAITONS: Sedans, Passenger Vans, Wagons, and 4x4. The prices
should include transportation and delivery to multiple sites within
Germany. Offerors are required to submit with their offers detailed
technical descriptions and illustrations of the proposed vehicles in
order to enable a proper technical evaluation. Offerors shall address
each requirement. Solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote
(RFQ) pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial
Items. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are
those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-07. Award will
be made to the lowest price, technically acceptable offer. The
successful offeror will be required to accept the purchase order in
writing. Quotes are due not later than 13 Sep 00 at 1600 hrs, CET.
DELIVERY OF VEHICLES MUST BE BY 25 SEP 00. Offeror shall indicate in
his offer his earliest time of delivery. FOB Point: Destination.
