Furnish equipment and software to upgrade the existing fire alarm system at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 1310 24th Ave., S., Nashville, TN 37212. Equipment will upgrade the medical center to a 100% analog, addressable system with network and integrated system (i.e., fire, security, access control, etc.)capabilities, and provide the head-end equipment, computers, and software for future networking and integration to other building systems. VA will provide all data cable required and final termination of individual devices furnished as part of this solicitation. Contractor will be responsible for the integration and programming of the equipment furnished as part of this solicitation. Provide equipment and software integration within 180 calendar days from the date of award in phases (floors) designated by the VA. The new fire alarm equipment shall interface to the existing Notifier brand coder system which will remain in place and active. Bidders shall furnish as part of their bid all descriptive literature and technical data sheets necessary for the purchasing activity to determine whether the product offered meets the minimum salient characteristics/requirements of the solicitation. Award of Best Value for the government contract willb e based on evaluation of the following criteria: (1) Company experience and demonstrated ability; (2) Personnel qualifications; (3) Type and term of warranty offered; (4) Resources; (5) Price.
