This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items issued by the Contracting Office, Offutt AFB, NE and prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation number F25600-00-R-9035 is being issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-15. The standard industrial classification code is 7378. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested, and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. THIS IS AN APPROVED SPECIFIC MAKE AND MODEL REQUIREMENT OR SOLE SOURCE, IF APPLICABLE. THEREFORE, NO PARTIAL QUOTES OR SUBSTITUTES WILL BE ALLOWED. THIS WILL BE A SINGLE AWARD. The government intends to issue a contract for Annual maintenance support of the SP 2048 Matrix Switch System at OFFUTT AFB NE. Maintenance supportis required from 01 October 2000 though 30 September 2001. Maintenance to include 24 hour -- 7 days a week remedial maintenance, telephone and software support. THIS CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED AS A 1 YEAR-BASE AND FOUR ONE-YEAR OPTION PERIODS. The base period shall be 01 October 2000 though 30 September 2001. Please acknowledge all requirements on quotations.
