H -- FIELD ENGINEERING SERVICES THROUGHOUT AFRICA SOL CON-00-2058068-GH POC Contact Point/Contracting Officer: Gary Hosford, Contracting Officer, Telephone: (202) 619-2946; Facsimile: (202) 260-0855 The Broadcasting Board of Governors, International Broadcasting Bureau (BBG/IBB), Office of Contracts, Contracts Branch, (CON/CR) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract (purchase order), utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures as specified in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, to Milson Nigeria, Ltd. of Lagos, Nigeria, Africa to perform engineering services including site surveys and design services; installation and commissioning services; and maintenance services for FM, TV and AM transmission systems on a sole-source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. This work will be performed in remote locations throughout Africa, often on a rapid deployment basis. The Contractor is the only known source that has expressed an interest in this work and possesses the expertise to perform the work described herein. The Contractor has the capability and the logistics experience associated with mobilizing resources to perform the work in these remote locations. The BBG/IBB does not intend to pay for any information received in response to this Notice. The Government reserves the discretion to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative response(s) is/are received within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this Notice, the BBG/IBB will award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract (purchase order) for the above described engineering services from Milson Nigeria, Ltd. of Lagos, Nigeria, Africa.
