The VA National Acquisition Center (NAC) will conduct a pre-proposal conference on Tuesday, August 29, 2000. The conference time is 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., local time (CST). The conference is being held at the VA National Acquisition Center, Building 37 -- Room 133, 1st Ave. one block north of Cermak, Hines, IL 60141. The subject of the pre-proposal conference will be Solicitation RFP-797-FSS-00-0086. The solicitation which issued on July 31, 2000 is for the Maintenance and Repair of Diagnostic Imaging Medical Equipment. The pre-proposal conference will afford industry the opportunity to comment on the solicitation package. Any questions or concerns that prospective offerors may have regarding the solicitation package or the submission of their proposal will be addressed at the conference. It is requested that written questions, comments or concerns be submitted in advance of the actual conference. These will be addressed anonymously at the conference. The VA National Acquisition Center is located in Building 37 on the Edward Hines, Jr., VA Hospital complex at Hines, IL. The complex is located approximately 11 miles west of the Chicago Loop. The most direct route to the NAC is via the Eisenhower Expressway (Route 290) to 1st Ave. approx. 6-1/2 blocks (three stoplights) and turn right at the gate. From O'Hare Airport, take Route 294 south to the Eisenhower Expressway (Chicago) to First Avenue (South) then follow directions from above.
