Main Post Office building on a 4.4238 acre site. The Design/Build contractor is to provide a faciity that meets the space and site requirements as shown in the Contract drawings. It is the responsibility of the Design/Build entity to design the new site and building to comply with all requirements herein. All architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and other required systems shall be designed and sealed by professionals registered in the project locality, and constructed in accordance with all applicable codes, ordinances and standards of the Industry. Joint ventures will be acceptable; participation by minority-owned and woman-owned firms is encouraged. If not USPS Design/Build pre-qualified, Prime and/or subcontractor will be required to submit SF254 and SF255. Bonds will be due within 48 hours of receipt of the "Intent to Award". The solicitation packagewill give detailed instructions on the conditions of qualifications. Firms determined to be best technically qualified will continue into the price evaluation. This is a negotiated purchase, therefore, offers will not be publicly opened. Issue date for the this project is on/or about August 7, 2000. Offers are due on August 30th @3:00 PM. Performance time is 284 calendar days. Estimated cost range for the entire project is between $750,000 and $1,000,000.
