37 -- TRIPLEX HYDRAULIC LIFT STRAIGHT BLADE CHOPPER SOL 401810Q226 DUE 082200 POC Shirley Fry, Contract Specialist This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, and FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only SOLICITATION. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The SOLICITATION document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-18. This is a total small business set aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3523. The small business standard is 500 employees. The Fish and Wildlife Service has a need to purchase the following equipment: Triplex hydraulic lift straight blade chopper, batwing style. (1) each. Cutting width 21 feet minimum and 24 feet maximum. Maximum travel width with batwings raised 12 feet. Folding hydraulic wheel lift and hydraulic couplers to lift all three units in tandem for travel on the highway. Drum diameter 36" with twelve 6" blades per drum. Maximum water-filled weight of 26,000 pounds. Chopper to include pintle hitch, frame, axles, bearings, hubs and spindles, aircraft tires, and tongue jacks. Entire unit to be primed and painted. The required performance period is 30 days after receipt of order. FOB point required is destination Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, (3.5 miles east of Titusville on S.R. 402) Titusville, FL. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination. The Government intends to make a single award to the responsible offeror whose quote conforming to this COMBINED CBD SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION, will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
