38 -- RENT TO OWN WATER TRUCK FOR THE PAYETTE NATIONAL FOREST SOL 12QR4-114-00 DUE 080900 POC Karen L. Morthland, Contracting Officer, 208-373-4150 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial buy items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 12QR4-114-00 and is a request for quotations current through Federal Acquisition Regulation Circular 45. This procurement is unrestricted. The Standard Classification code is 7353 and the small business size standard is 500. The procurement consists of rent to own water truck. Water truck specifications are: 1980 or newer; 400-425 hp; power steering; air brakes; power on/power off; air ride seats; minim. 13 speed transmission; rotating warning lights; 11R24.5 radial tires or equivalent; air ride and spring suspension; air conditioning; min. 100 gallon fuel tank; night operation lights. Water System specifications: min. 4,000 gallon tank; sight level glass; in cab air controls; PTO or hydraulic 3 inch min. pump; live hose reel with min. 200 feet, 1 inch hose; gravity spread bar; adjustable front, rear, and side air actuated spray heads. Water truck to be delivered to the Payette National Forest in McCall, Idaho by 8/10/00.
