DHHS/PSC/DAM has a requirement to award a simplified acquisition for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Office of Managed Care, for a State Technical Assistance Pilot to Improve Quality of Depression Treatment in Primary Health Care Settings. Specifically, the requirement is to pilot test an "academic detailing" model of clinical quality improvement for major affective disorder, making use of evidence-based disease management concepts that include medication and non-medication treatment algorithms, patient/family education, and continuous quality improvement feedback processes to support physician and health care system change.
