Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Pearl Harbor requests written statements of capability and comments from 8(a) concerns for providing mess attendant services at Anderson Hall, Marine Corps Base Hawaii (Kaneohe, HI). Services to include providing all personnel, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform Food Service Attendant Services to include: serving and replenishing of food, cleaning of facilities, equipment, and utensils, food pickup and delivery, preparation of fruits and vegetables, bussing of tables, cashier services, and maintenance of entryways. Performance to commence 01 October 2001 for a one year base period of performance and four option periods of one year each. The forthcoming procurement is anticipated to be a set-aside for competition among 8(a) offerors, and as such is limited to 8(a) concerns eligible under Standard Industrial Classification 5812. All 8(a) offerors are invited to submit descriptions of their capability to perform the required service and to submit comments to aid the Government in drafting its solicitation. Responses must be received by 2:00 p.m. (Hawaii Standard Time) on 25 August 2000. The responses should contain a detailed narrative identifying the scope of past and current similar contracts and should describe the firm's capability to perform the work. Include the name, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address of a point of contact. The purpose of this notice is to identify 8(a) sources and their capabilities. The solicitation is expected to be issued in Fall 2000. A separate notice announcing the solicitation will be issued. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR OFFERS.
