The project covered by this statement consists of furnishing all plant, labor, supplies, equipment, materials, transportation to demolish approximately 22,300 square feet of existing EDPM membrane roofing, wood fiber insulation, underlying gravel surfaces, coal-tar built-up roofing system, fiberglass roof insulation, base flashing, cants, metal flashing, perimeter metal assemblies, expansion joint assemblies and remove all related debris required for the proper installation of a new roofing assembly. Furnish and install approximately 22,300 square feet of built-up roof system including all insulation, flashing, sheet metal, and appurtenances to create a complete roofing system. Repair flashing, breaks, holes and weak areas of roofing. Furnish and install new steel roof deck panels to replace those which are deemed unsuitable for future use. Furnish and install new galvanized steel plating over small openings in the steel roof deck. There is an Alternate Bid Item for an additional 10,300 square feet of the above described roof work. Project title is REPAIR ROOF BUILDING 158. All work is at Otis Air National Guard Base, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Performance period is 90 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The Prime contractor will be required to perform at least 80% of all work. Estimated magnitude of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. This project is being issued as a SMALL BUSINESS set aside to contractors qualified to perform under SIC Code 1761 "Roofing, Siding, and Sheet Metal Work." The small business size standard for SIC code 1761 is $7 Million.
