DESC- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to procure, on behalf of Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego, C4I Program Office Philadelphia, ruggedized RAID assemblies on a sole source basis from CIPRICO, Inc. of Bedford, NH. The RAIDs will be used to support the Tomahawk system. The RAIDs to be acquired are 72 GB, PN#HALR714RDI41XX. It is intended place an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with fixed unit prices. The intended contract will be for a base year with two option years. The maximum quantity over the life of the contract is 150 units. The guaranteed minimum is 5 units. The units will be delivered to SPAWAR C4I Program Office Philadelphia. Deliveries will be required to be made within 30 days of the placement of each delivery order. It is intended to negotiate this requirement on a sole source basis with CIPRICO as they are the only known manufacturer of the ruggedized RAID assemblies that are compatible with the existing hardware and software configurations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interests and technical capability to respond to this requirement. Interested parties who contend that they are technically qualified must submit, within 45 days from publication of this announcement, specific factual data including pertinent technical information to be evaluated to determine competence to successfully perform the requirement. All technical proposals received within this time frame will be considered by the Government. The Government reserves the right not to open this requirement to competition based upon technical notices received in response to this announcement. Technical responses received as a result of the announcement will normally be considered solely for the purpose of whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c)(1). The applicable SIC code is 3577.
