B. 40% SIC, (17 MICRON+3 MICRON), 3DP,+SINTERED+0.25" LAYER OF 5% SAFFIL ALONG 12" SIDES -- 15 PLATES. C. 40% SIC, (17 MICRON+3 MICRON), 3DP+SINTERED+0.25" LAYER OF 20% SAFFIL ALONG 12" SIDES -- 12 PLATES D. 40% SIC (17 MICRON+3 MICRON), 3DP+SINTERED+0.25" LAYER OF 30% SAFFIL ALONG 12" SIDE -- 19 PLATES. E. 40% SIC, (17 MICRON+3MICRON), 3DP+SINTERED -- 17 PLATES Quantity: 1 each This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Metal Matrix Cast Corp., 101 Clematis Avenue, Waltham, MA 02154. This recommendation is made pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The Government intends to acquirea commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on August 15, 2000. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
