Medical Logistics Office/Veteran's Affairs Special Services
(AFMLO/VASS) Contracting Activity is soliciting for potential sources
to provide facility operations, repair, and maintenance of Medical
Treatment Facilities (MTF). The resulting contract will be a Best Value
Multiple Award Government Wide (CONUS and OCONUS) Indefinite Delivery,
Indefinite Quantity contract with a base period to commence October 1,
2000 and 4 option years, if exercised. SIC Code is 8744. While the
Government acknowledges that many companies have the capability to
perform any one or several of these functions, the Government expects
to contract with companies that have the overall capability to provide
facility operations, repair, and maintenance of Medical Treatment
Facilities (MTF). Experience must have been gained as a result of the
company being regularly engaged in the business of providing operation,
maintenance, and repair services for MTFs. The minimum acceptable
experience is 20 years at multiple sites. The resulting contract may be
used on a non-mandatory basis by all Federal Government MTFs, to
include, but not limited to the Departments of Veteran's Affairs, Air
Force, Army, Navy, and all other Federal Agencies located within the 50
states and Washington DC. OCONUS MTFs may place orders against the
resulting contract. There is a 2% cost recovery fee, similar to the
industrial funding fee used on Federal Supply Schedules. The Request
for Proposals will be available on or about August 23, 2000. Interested
companies may request to be placed on the Bidder's Mailing List by
providing the following information: company name, address, email
address, point of contact, size of business, and number of employees,
ownership, whether they are SB, SDB, 89a), HUBZone, and/or WOB, number
of years in business; affiliate information; list of customers
covering the past five years (highlight relevant work performed,
contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement, and
point of contact address and phone number. Failure to respond to this
synopsis does not mean that potential offerors cannot respond to the
