seeking, for informational purposes only, information from individuals
and/or firms about their ability to perform an independent
investigation into alleged violations of the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA), Public Law 101-336. Please do not send formal
proposals. Information received by MARAD in response to this
announcement will be used to develop a requirement, which will result
in a contract. Respondents are requested to provide information
concerning their business size status (SIC Code 8111, $5.0 million
annual revenues), previous experience with this type of investigative
report, qualifications of investigator(s), and other related
information including their ability to determine: compliance pursuant
to Title II of the ADA of the entire architectural building
construction as it relates to program accessibility and use by
individuals with disabilities; ability to obtain affidavits under oath
and without a pledge of confidentiality from having any knowledge of
the matter under complaint; and, ability to administer oaths and
affirmations as required in the conduct of such investigations. Any
respondent shall have the capability to interview and take sworn or
affirmed statements from the complainant and the alleged official or
organization. MARAD also seeks information concerning approximate cost
and time to complete this type of investigative report, whether the
respondent is on GSA Schedule, is an 8(a) certified minority-owned
business, and/or will accept U.S. Government purchase card (MasterCard)
