This project consists of furnishing materials for, and construction, of approximately 14 meters of 1.5 meter wide elevated boardwalk, and a 7.7-meter by 2.6-meter elevated viewing deck. Boardwalk and viewing deck foundations are 152 mm diameter steel pipe piles, driven a minimum of 4.25 meters below ground surface. Two pipe piles for the viewing deck are 254 mm diameter. The estimated quantity of piling to be driven is 120 linear meters. Framing for the boardwalk and viewing deck is pressure treated wood. Decking for the viewing deck is pressure treated wood. Decking for the boardwalk is steel or fiberglass grating. Railing system for the boardwalk and viewing deck is pressure treated wood. Work also includes seeding of areas disturbed during construction. The project is located at Ptarmigan Creek Campground, at approximately mile 23.1 of the Seward Highway. Ptarmigan Creek Campground is approximately 104 road miles from Anchorage, Alaska. The viewing platform is located on the bank of Ptarmigan Creek. The estimated start work date is 092500. The contract time will be 120 calendar days. Estimated price range for the project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
