This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for non-commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-00-Q-0292, is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is not a small business set-aside. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17 and DCN 20000606. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 3469 and the size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 to manufacture a quantity of 325 or to (availability of funds) Navy 5"/54 caliber cargo projectile bodies in accordance with ADL 53711-7343710A; ADL 53711-7343710A, DRAWINGS (11 PAGES) and Supplementary Quality Assurance Provisions. Delivery is required F.O.B. Crane, IN 47522 within 30 days after award. The MK3 and MK11 Pallet adapters will be GFM. Final inspection will be at NSWC Crane, IN. Minimum lot size of 500 does not apply. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
