36 -- 1500KW, WYE CONNECTED 4160/2400 VAC SOL n47408-00-T-0126 DUE 081600 POC Maria Nailat (805) 982-5092 This requirement is for a 1500kw, wye connected 4160/2400 VAC, three phase, 60 hertz, low emissions, diesel engine generator. This procurement is sole sourced to Cummins Cal Pacific, 3958 Transport St., Ventura, CA 93003. The contract includes an option quantity. The generator is a commercial item with minor modifications. The Navy already has four generator's of this type from a competed contract and needs two additional generators to meet Navy requirements of maintaining adequate stock of generators. These generators must be compatible with existing equipment for interchangeability of parts. Also, it is not feasible for the Navy to obtain another type of generator since these generators are used for mobile deployment. Mobile deployment requires limited space, and to maintain two seperate parts supplies (inventories) is not feasible. Navy personnel must be trained on the deployed generators.
