(505)346-2562 ext,3111 This is combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, FAR as supplemented with additional inofrmation included in this notice. this announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. this solicitation, number ooAJCCoo1, is issued as an invitation to bid and is set aside for small business. There is a mandatory walk through on August 14, 2000 at 2:ooPM. Arrangements for walk through prior to this date may be made by contacting Paul Penick at (505)346-2562 ext. 3112. No walk through will be scheduled after August 14. Any bids submitted by persons who have not made a walk through will be considered non-responsive. The Albuquerque Job Corps Center will be installing 3000(plus or minus) linear feet of conduit and phone cable underground. The project will include all boring, pulling of cable terminations at Telecom closets and at demark of dial tone provider. All material must be warranteed for a period of 1 year and workmanship for 5 years. Warranty service must be provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The Center will be the final authority on whether a call is critical or not. All critical calls must have a response time of not less than 4 hours. Non-critical calls must be handled within 1 full business day. Davis Bacon Wage Rate will apply. Copies of the Davis Bacon Wage Rate may be obtained at the Zimmerman Library located at The University of New Mexico. site plans showing location of buildings but not current cabling are available. A cabling plan for the Center's fire alarm system is available that may be of help determining best routes for phone cable. All work must be completed without disrupting the normal routine of the Center. The Center provides a 24 per day live-in environment ofr our students. No fraternization between contractor staff and center's sutdents and staff will be tolerated. All work must be bonded and contractor must provide proof of insurance. The Center will to the maximum extent practical provide storage space for material and equipment. The Center can not however, provide Security for said material and equipment. Security shall be the responsibility of the contractor. All applicable sections of the FAR (Federal Acquisition Register) shall apply by reference. All bids must be received on Center before 4:00PM on August 3, 2000. Bids will be opened at the Center on September 1, 2000 at 2:00PM. Award will be made not later than 4:00PM on September 5, 2000 with work to commence as soon as practical thereafter but not later than September 15, 2000. All work should be completed within 45 days but not later than October 31, 2000. All questions concerning this progect should be directed to Paul A.
