The Navy requires Silver/Zinc battery cells, associated services, repair/spare parts, and related technical data. Delivery is estimated to be required approximately 10 months after award. There are three battery types. They are Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle (DSRV)1-2 batteries IAW MIL-SPEC DOD-B-24505C, DSRV 1-2 emergency batteries IAW MIL SPEC DOD-B-24531, and NR1 submarine batteries IAW MIL SPEC DOD-B-24507B. The Navy will solicit for quantities to meet FY 01-05 requirements. Quantities required for the DSRV 1-2 battery are: FY 01-3 each; FY 02-3 each; FY 03-3 each; FY 04-3 each; and FY 05- 3 each. Quantities required for the DSRV 1-2 emergency batteries are: FY 02-8 each; and FY 04-8 each. Quantities for the NR1 batteries are FY 02- 1 each; FY 03-1 each; and FY 04-1 each. The basic quantity contract will cover FY 01 requirements and there will be options for each of the four remaining FY requirements. The Government will make available assorted Government Furnished Property and Government Furnished Material as required for the performance of this effort. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification is 3692 and the size standard is 1000 employees. This procurement is designated as a 100% Small Business Set Aside.
