Albany, Ca. has a requirement for a high resolution scanning system for
use in scanning miroarray slides at different wavelengths and analysis
of collected data. Other characteristics of the system under
consideration include 1. Upgradeable to 5 color lasers 3 color lasers
scanning systems included for access to current and developing methods
in array technology. 2. Capability to scan as high as 5 micron pixel
resolution for higher image and data quality. 3. Emission wavelength
from 570 nm to 700 nm to detect over 25 different fluorescent dyes. 4.
Multi-resolution scanning capability at 5, 10,20,30 & 50 microns to
easily detect regions of interest. 5. Scan speed of approximately <5
minutes to scan a 22 mm x 73 mm area. 6. Barcode reader for automated
microarray tracking and scanning. 7. Microarray software. A
