The work to be performed consists of furnishing an Indefinite Quantity of Water Treatment Chemicals. The chemicals to be provided are: 1) Sulfuric Acid, 98% by weight, commercial grade, strength -- 66 Bauma, percent equivalent H2S04 -- 93.19%, specific gravity at 60 /60 F -- 1.8354, approximate freezing point = -17 F/-27 C; 2) Sodium Hydroxide, 50% by weight, 50% liquid caustic soda-diaphragm grade, wet tons, estimate 500 wet tons or 256.5 dry tons. Delivery shall be made to the Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel Plant, on Hwy 91 North, approximately 1 mile north of Leadville, Colorado. The term of the contract will be from date of award through 365 calendar days (1 year). Individual task orders will be issued against the contract at the rates bid in the schedule. The quantities stated are estimates and will only be used for evaluation purposes. The Government will pay for actual quantities delivered under individual task orders. The Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be made available on or aroundAugust 28, 2000 and quotes are tentatively due on September 12, 2000. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. This acquisition will be made pursuant to FAR Part 12, Commercial Item Acquisition. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 2819. The small business size standard is 1,000 employees.
