The New England District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Watermark Navigation Systems, LLC, 12 Gilford East Drive, Gilford, New Hampshire to furnish and deliver one hundred eighty eight (188) Orange Tuffloat log/debris booms with all necessary hardware to Ball Mountain Lake, Jamaica, Vermont. Each boom must be at least eleven (11) feet long, with an outside diameter of 15" and have a wall thickness of .250" or greater. The booms shall be made of polyethylene with a UV inhibitor, filled with foam and be water tight. The barriers must connect with each other by steel clevis couplings or similar method. Interested parties having the capability to furnish the above described items should submit their company and price information which shall be considered by this agency. All responses must contain sufficient technicl and pricing information to enable evaluation of the capability of the company to meet the requirements of the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents exist and no award will be made on the basis of any response to this advertisement. Interested parties may respond in writing to the above address, ATTN: Purchase Branch. All responses from responsible parties which are received by September 7, 2000 will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of this solicitation.
