Computer Services (OCS) has a requirement to acquire backup disaster
recovery services. The location of the backup site shall be at least 50
air miles and not more than 300 air miles from the OCS site in
Springfield, VA. The equipment being utilized at the OCS includes IBM
mainframes, HP 9000's and RISC 6000's mid-range computers, and Windows
NT servers. Our diverse platforms are interconnected utilizing
state-of-the art telecommunication equipment and protocols including
but not limited to CISCO routers, Network hubs, modems, protocol
converters, SNA, frame relay, and TCP/IP. The contractor shall provide
the necessary facility, equipment, and related services, including
advisory administrative and technical personnel to support (1) four
days of dedicated recovery plan testing per year and (2) actual
disaster declaration within 24 hours notice. The period of performance
is a base period with four (4) one year options. The standard
industrial code is 7379. The incumbent contractor is Comdisco Disaster
Recovery Services, 4301 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 600, Arlington, VA
