The USDA Forest Service, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Lakeside Ranger District, Navajo County, Arizona, requires to demonstrate different silvicultural prescriptions to increase forest health on 393 acres. The trees are in the 5 to 9 inch catagory (previously designated pulpwood) will be harvested and removed from the site. Within the project there is an additional 66 CCF (hundred cubic feet) of sawlogs between 9 and 14 inches in diameter. Project is east of Lakeside, Arizona, access is by Forest Road 182 and Forest Road 45. Plans and specifications will be available on or about Thursday, August 24, 2000.
