J -- OPERATION, MAINTENANCE, AND REPAIR OF UNINTERRUPTABLE POWER SYSTEMS (UPS), SWITCHGEAR, AND GENERATORS POC Debra Albrecht, Contracting Officer, (703)607-6865 The Defense Information Systems Agency is contemplating the award of a Firm Fixed Price and Time and Materials type contract for one (1) year with four (4) options, each option would be for twelve (12) months. This acquisition is being offered for full and open competition. The services needed are for operation, maintenance, and repair of Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), and generator systems located at Building 12, 701 South Courthouse Road, Arlington, VA. The contractor shall be required to provide all necessary operation, maintenance, and repair labor, parts, supplies, tools, diagnostic and test equipment, transportation, and other related services in order to provide 100% reliability (zero failure rate) of existing UPS, ATS, and generator systems. The contractor shall be responsible for assisting and participating with Navy personnel in weekly and monthly system exercises; both with and without connected loads. The UPS system is intended to provide continuous power "filtering" and short/long-term power in the case of loss of commercial power through an automatic transfer switch to/from generator power to allow continuing operation of connected "critical" loads until commercial power is restored. The emergency power backup systems are intended to provide short/long-term power in the case of loss of commercial power to allow continuing operation of connected "emergency" loads through an automatic transfer switch to/from generator power until commercial power is restored.
