Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for the Hot Spring National Park Project NPS HOSP-8(1), in Garland County, Arkansas. The project consists of reconstructing a retaining wall located along North Mountain Loop Road. The work includes the removal of the existing stone wall, removal of asphalt pavement, roadway excavation, structure excavation for the retaining wall, and construction of a Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) wall. Approximate quantities for the principal items of work are as follows: Structure excavation, 805 yd3; Mechanically stabilized earth wall, 2,160 sqft, Hot asphalt concrete pavement, Class C, Grading C, 60 t; Hot asphalt concrete pavement, Class C, Grading E, 135 t; Rubble masonry, rock face finish, 120 cuyd; Turf establishment, 350 sqyd. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1,000,000 per contract.
