This is a synopsis for a non-commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This is a total small business set-aside. The standard industrial code is 3449 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is as follows: to manufacture 250 each (or to availability of funds) of the MK 108 Mod 1 Security Pallet Crates. The following description applies, 49 x 41 x 35.5 inches, steel wire box structure having a pallet base, steel wire sides with steel plates and removable cover. The cover is held captive to the body of the crate with two chains and has two handles attached to the top side to facilitate cover removal. The pallet crate is used for handling and stowage of loose and pilferable ordnance items, and connected replenishment-at-sea- operations (CONREP). The pallet crate is used in and around a salt water/salt air environment on ship decks and piers. Delivery to be 90 days after award of order.
