This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). 1 EACH FLUIDIZED BED GRANULATOR/COATER, UNIT SHALL HAVE AN OPERATING TEMPERATURE OF 250 TO 300 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT. BATCH SIZES SHALL RANGE BETWEEN 500ML TO 5 LITERS WITH A 4-INCH DIAMETER FLUIDIZATION PLATE. FULL INSTRUMENTATION PACKAGE TO INCLUDE DIGITAL AIR FLOW/FLUIDIZATION VELOCITY INDICATOR, DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE READOUTS ACROSS AIR FILTERS, SCREENS AND BEDS, DIGITAL INLET AIR TEMPERATURE/INDICATOR, HIGH TEMPERATURE ALARM AND WARNING LIGHT AND DIGITAL TIMER. FEATURES SHALL INCLUDE VARIABLE SPEED BLOWER FOR PRECISE AIR FLOW CONTROL UP TO 70CFM AT 40 INCHES WATER COLUMN, LOCKING POTENTIOMETER CONTROL, AND INDUCED DRAFT BLOWER LOCATION THAT PRODUCES NEGATIVE PRESSURE AT FLUID BED; INSULATED 1700 WATT HEATER FOR TEMPERATURES UP TO 80 DEGREES CENTIGRADE; AIR ATOMIZED REMOVABLE STAINLESS STEEL SPRAY SYSTEM; TOUCH OPERATED PULSED AIR FILTER CLEANING SYSTEM; MOTORIZED CHAMBER SEALING SYSTEM FOR EASY ACCESS AND OPERATION; 110 VOLT GFI RECEPTACLE; STAINLESS STEEL CONSTRUCTION; SAFETY FEATURES OF EMERGENCY POWER CUT-OFF SWITCH AND TOTAL GROUND FAULT INTERUPT PROTECTION. FLUIDIZED BED SHALL INCLUDE REMOVABLE METAL UPPER CHAMBER, REMOVABLE STAINLESS STEEL BOWL WITH HANDLE, REMOVABLE STAINLESS STEEL DISTRIBUTOR PLATE, PLOYESTER EXHAUST AIR FILTERS WITH STAINLESS STEEL CLAMPS, STAINLESS STEEL WIRE FRAME FILTER SUPPORT AND REPLACEABLE INLET AOR DUST FILTER. THE SPRAY SYSTEM MUST INCLUDE NOZZLE, AIR CAP, FLUID TIP, MANUAL TIP CLEANER, EXTENSION, TUBING, COMPRESSED AIR CONNECTORS, AIR PRESSURE REGULATOR AND AIR PRESSURE GAUGE. SYSTEM SHALL INCLUDE ALL NECESSARY SEALS, CLAMPS AND GASKETS. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-19. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 3821 and 500, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to NASA LANGLEY RESEARCH CENTER is required within THIRTY (30) days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-A7.
