Johnson, Contracting Officer, (214) 857-0043 phone; (214) 857-0027 fax It is the intent of the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS), as a result of this solicitation, to award an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for a Certified Industrial Hygienist to provide services related to it's asbestos abatement program. VANTHCS consist of The Medical Center, Dallas located at 4500 S. Lancaster Rd., and the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center, located in Bonham, Texas at 1201 East 9th Street. The required services shall include as a minimum; site visit(s), site preparation, preparation of asbestos removal specifications, air monitoring, abatement surveillance, written reports and compilation of abatement data in computerized format. The selected firm shall be familiar with industry, OSHA and government abatement requirements and procedures. The solicitation shall be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 08/29/2000 with a due date on or about 09/29/2000. The RFP shall be a 100% small business set-aside with Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code of 7389 with a small business standard of five million dollars ($5,0000,000.00).
