***The purpose of this amendment is to correct Estimated Quantities;
Schedule II, Item 0027; Schedule III, Item 33; and extend closing date.
a. Estimated Quantities: Change the following: (1) Intra City Area
government max daily requirements from 2000 to read 950. (2) Intra City
Area government minimum daily capability from 1000 to read 850. b.
Schedule II, Item 27, and Schedule III, Item 33: Change to read as
follows: Drayage Beyond the Contract Area of Performance. Service shall
consist of drayage of packed shipments beyond the contract area of
performance, not to exceed 150 miles. Mileage shall be computed on the
shortest highway distance commencing with the applicable point of
departure from the outer boundary of the contract area of performance
to the destination point. c. Closing date is hereby extended from 11
Aug 2000 00:00 to read 18 Aug 2000 1630. Offutt AFB requires the
following service(s): Packing and Crating; The contractor shall provide
all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other
items and services necessary to perform packing and crating of
household goods at Offutt AFB, Nebraska. This service includes but is
not limited to packing of household goods for inbound, outbound,
intra-city, and intra-area services as defined in the Statement of Work
(SOW). A request for proposal shall be issued on or about 16 June 2000.
This acquisition is set-aside 100% for small businesses. Please be
advised that this requirement may result in multiple awards. The
proposed contract shall have a one-year basic period, starting 01 Oct
2000 through 30 Sep 2001, plus four one-year options. Award of the
contract will be made to the responsive, responsible offeror(s) whose
proposal offers the best value to the Government. Upon issue, the
Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Internet at the
Electronic Posting System (EPS) web-site, which is at the following
address: http://www.eps.gov. Contractors are required to complete
Central Contractor Registration prior to award of any Government
