Five each BAT Submunition Simulants to be used for integration into a Army Tactical Missile System Block II Fast Cookoff test article. Units will be manufactured using residual hardware from an earlier contract. Some Government-Furnished Material will be provided. Delivery to Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control at Redstone Arsenal is required by 30 Sep 2000. It is anticipated that a written quotation will be requested, with award anticipated approximately 25 Sep 2000. This requirement will be restricted to Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC), Electronic Sensors and Systems Sector, Huntsville, AL because the government does not have a technical data package to support competitive procurement and because it has been determined that NGC is the only source with the knowledge and experience to provide the hardware within the time frame required.All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. However, any request for a copy of the solicitation from a foreign firm must be submitted through the country's embassy to Headquarters, Department of the Army, in Washington, D.C.. Each request will be adjudicated on a case-by-case basis. Foreign firms interested in subcontracting opportunities must contact the prime contractor directly. See Notes 22 and 26.
