The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD has a sole source requirement for the production of one (1) each Engineering-Unit, P/N 4070760-504, from Raytheon Company, Baltimore, MD, which is part of the AN/APX-100 family. Delivery to Lockheed Martin in Omego, NY is required 12 months after contract award. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Raytheon Company is the sole designer, developer and currently the only qualified manufacturer of the AN/APX-100(V) Engineering-Unit and as such has the requisite knowledge to fulfill this requirement. Therefore, this acquisition shall be negotiated on a sole source basis with Raytheon Company, 1300 East Joppa Road, Baltimore, MD 21286-5999. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price type Simplified Acquisition Procedure (SAP) order will be awarded. This synopsis is published for information purposes only.
