This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-00-T-0079. The solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. The standard industrial classification code is 3679. Place of delivery and acceptance is at Edwards AFB, CA, with an FOB destination. The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB, CA has a requirement for the following: 3 each P/N CSC/340, Cockpit Scan Converter _ Dual XYZ, dual 875 to 525 scan converter and quad combiner (rugged box). The multi-purpose cockpit scan converter shall interface with the B-1 aircraft Threat Simulation Format (TSF) and Panoramic Format (PF) EDU graphic displays, two RS-343, 875-line raster video and four RS-170 or NTSC video signals. It converts the nonstandard video (TSF, PF, and RS-343) into standard RS-170 or NTSC video. In addition, the unit shall also include a quad video combiner which combines four of the eight possible resultant video signals into a single RS-170 or NTSC video output. No substitutes or equal allowed on this contract action. Edwards AFB, CA intends to procure these from Delta Information Systems, Inc. unless other offerors can provide the specific requirements with better terms and conditions.
