This pre-solicitation notice is being issued to inform industry that the US Army CECOM is preparing to solicit for the High Performance Battery Family. The solicitation numbers being used for these acquisitions are: DAAB07-00-R-A264, DAAB07-00-R-A265, DAAB07-00-R-A266, and DAAB07-00-R-A267. The acquisitions are being refered to as "NextGen II". Documents related to these acquisitions are posted on the CECOM Business Opportunities Page (BOP) under the appropriate RFP number. All documents are in the draft stage and will remain so until the solicitations become final. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the BOP on a regular basis for any updates to these acquisitions. Currently a draft Executive Summary and draft specification sheets are uploaded onto the BOP. Additionally, a pre-solicitation conference is being planned for mid September 2000. Information pertaining to the conference will be posted to the BOP. All parties interested in doing business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive information from the BOP at (https://abop.monmouth.army.mil).
