Resources Team has a requirement for a carbon analysis system. The
system shall be capable of measuring total carbon, total organic carbon
and total inorganic carbon. System shall be capable of analyzing
liquids, slurries and solids, and shall have a linear dynamic
concentration range of 10 ppm to a virtual 100 percent carbon (weighted
calibration curves are unacceptable). Coulometric detection is
required. System shall utilize an internal microprocessor with embedded
software capable of displaying user selectable units including ugC,
ugCO2 and ugCO3 without the need of an external computer. TIC
autosampler shall incorporate an inert gas blanket covering the sample
carousel to prevent atmospheric contamination of certain types of
samples. Furnace autosampler shall utilize a vertical combustion
furnace programmed to maintain multiple temperature setting up to 1100
degrees Celsius. Other system features shall include a floppy disk
drive, RS 232C outlet and on-line impact printer. Contractor shall be
required to provide on-site installation and instructions by a factory
representative. The following requirement is considered a "Brand Name
