The Naval Oceanographic Office intends to solicit and award, on an other than full and open competitive (sole source) basis, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, a purchase order to Universal Systems, LTD, doing business as CARIS, 264 Rookwood Avenue, Frederiction, NB, Canada E3B 2M2. This procurement is for Computer Aided Resource Information System (CARIS) commercial software and training for, one (1) each CARIS software for Windows NT that includes, 5 Charting Systems, DTM, Suppress Soundings, and support; 1 HOM; 4 DOM; and 3 SAMI. Training by one (1) CARIS Certified Engineer/Instructor, for ten (10) business days tentative date to begin 30 OCT 00 and end 10 NOV 00, onsite, at Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS, for eight (8) Government employees. Training shall include training preparation, student materials (manuals), Instructor expenses, and eight (8) software licenses during the course of the training.
