Center Budapest, on behalf of the United States [U.S. Agency for
International Development] (USAID) Mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina
intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide construction
management services for the Bosnia-Herzegovina Community Reintegration
and Stabilization Program. The contract will have three major
components: (1) Minority Return Support which will facilitate at a
minimum minority returns of basic services such as the repair and/or
rehabilitation of water, schools, health centers, low voltage electric
distribution networks, small bridges and secondary roads; (2) Support
Community Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project (CIRP) which is part
of the civil-military joint cooperation effort who aids in the repair
of infrastructures and supervision of mine clearing activities; and (3)
Brcko Final Arbitration Award Support will provide at a minimum the
rehabilitation of critically needed infrastructure projects and the
rehabilitation of electrical substations and low voltage networks;
increasing district water supply and the rehabilitation of roads. The
award will be based on full and open competition with a anticipated
performance period of four year with a one year option to extend for an
additional 12 months. The expected release date of this request shall
be on or about August 21, 2000 and the official closing date shall be
contained in the RFP document. TELEPHONE REQUEST FOR THE RFP WILL NOT
BE HONORED. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement
