This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prpeared
in accordance with FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE
ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN
SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number for this
Request for Quotations is DABT59-00-Q-1030. This solicitation and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-18. This solicitation is set aside for small
business. FSC 7378, Size $18M Scope of Work Furnish all necessary
personel, supplies, materials, diagnostic equipment and
components/parts to perform per call maintenance on site for each
separate type of equipment listed. Make sure that all equipment
functions according to original equipment manufacturer's specifications
for the period of this contract (period of base year plus two option
years). Service calls are authorized to be placed by technical
operations service deskonly. Area is secure but no security clearance
is required. Cleared personnel will escort contractor personnel.
Estimated amount of calls are 423 for base and each option year.
Offerors should provide hourly burden rate. Return of equipment from
contractors facility will NOT be construed as a separate service call.
Invoices for parts and materials should be submitted monthly with
monthly invoice for calls. List of equipment: CPU's (Pentium,
Pentium-Pro, Pentium II, MMX, 686, 586, 486, 386, 286), CPU
NOTEBOOK/LAPTOP (Pentium, Pentium-Pro, Pentium II, MMX, 686, 586, 486,
386, 286), CPU TEMPEST (Pentium, Pentium-Pro, Pentium II, MMX, 686,
586, 486, 386, 286), CD-ROM INTE/EXT (VARIOUS), DISKDRIVE INT/EXT
(VARIOUS), DISPLAY UNITS/MONITORS (VARIOUS), PRINTERS (VARIOUS),
SCANNERS (VARIOUS), TAPE DRIVE INT/EXT (VARIOUS), UPS INT/EXT
(VARIOUS), HAND SCANNERS (VARIOUS), FDD INT/EXT (VARIOUS), HDD INT/EXT
(VARIOUS), MODEM INT/EXT (VARIOUS, SCSI DISK DRIVES INT/EXT (VARIOUS),
SCSI TAPE DRIVE INT/EXT (VARIOUS), PCI MODEM(VARIOUS), PCI VIDEO CARD
(VARIOUS), PCI NETWORK CARDS (VARIOUS), VIDEO CARDS (VARIOUS), NETWORK
CARDS (VARIOUS), FAXES (VARIOUS). Normal hours are from 0800 to 1700,
Monday through Friday. Personnel must be experienced with repair
personnel having at least a minimum of one (1) year experience
repairing listed equipment. Offeror shall provide resumes (for repair
personnel showing their previous repair experience) with their
proposals. Contractor shall be responsible for any damage to building
or surrounding areas. Government reserves the right to add equpment to
list. If a machine is inoperative for more than 4 duty hours for
priority equipment or more than 16 duty hours for standard equipment,
the contractor shall furnish a loaner of similar equpment, if requested
by COR. The following provision apply FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to
Offerors commercial Items, Addendum to FAR 52.000-1, paragraph (b).
Offers shall provide an express warranty which at a minimm shall be the
same warranty terms, including offers ofextended warranties, offered to
the general public. Express warranties shall be included in the
contract. Offerors are required to complelte and include a copy of the
following provisions with their proposals: FAR 52.212-3, Offeror
Representation and Certifications Commercial Items. Caluse 52.212-4
Contract Terms and Conditions Commericals Items applies as well. The
clause at 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Timplement
Statutes or Executive Orders Commerical Item applies with the following
applicable clauses: 52-222-26 Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35 Affirmative
Action for Special Disabled and Vietnam Era Veterans, 52.222-36
Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers, 52.222-37 Employment
Reports on Special Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era,
252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration, applies to all
solicitations issued on or after 6/1/98. Lack of registration in the
CCR database will make an offeror/quoter ineligible for award. Please

Area: Richmond applies and a copy of the Wage Determination is
available upon request. The government intends to make a single award.
All responsible offerors are to submit current pricing, payment terms,
cage code, Dunn and Brandstreet number, Tax Identification Number and
all applicable specificaitons regarding this solicitation. All offerors
