The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation, 8201 Corporate Dr, Suite 220, Landover, MD 20785. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures of Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this purchase order is to provide technical assistance in the development of HRSA/MCHB's Poison Prevention and Control Program. Tasks include use of the Institute's proprietary software of injury cost modeling systems for development of incidence and cost-benefit data analysis, develop and update several poison prevention fact sheets, development of issue/recommendation papers relating to regulations relating to the funding and operation of poison control centers and crisis situations related to impaired poison control centers, and technical assistance in development of model poison control centers. The period of performance is nine months. ThePacific Institute for Research and Evaluation is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services.
