1.0 GENERAL: The contractor will furnish and install carpeting in
accordance with manufacturer recommendations. The contractor shall
perform all services to the standards set forth in this contract and in
accordance with Federal, State and local regulations. 1.1 WORK SITE:
Work is to be performed at Kelly AFB, Bldg 2015 (Dorm Rooms). 67 each.
1.1.1 All equipment required for the performance of this work shall be
provided and maintained by the contractor. All equipment will be kept
in good working order and will meet all the current base safety
requirements for the trade. Personnel safety will be observed at all
times in accordance with OSHA and AFOSH directives. 1.1.2 The
contractor or the assigned representative shall be in contact with Mr.
Richard Gonzales,(210) 925-1029, at all times, when performing on
Kelly AFB. 1.1.3 SPECIFICATIONS AND SERVICES: The contractor shall
provide the following initial services: Furnish all plant, labor,
materials, equipment and supervision necessary to remove carpet
orlinoleum and reinstall new carpeting in dorm rooms. To include
movement of furniture. 1.1.3.1 Carpeting to be installed is a
Reflections II carpet tile 18 x 18 Satinwood 93130. By Shaw Network.
1.1.4 MEASUREMENTS: The contractor shall verify all measurements at the
work site and shall be responsible for dimensions, fittings,
alterations, and the proper attachments of the service to be performed.
1.1.5 CLEAN UP: Upon completion of workday, the contractor shall leave
the work area in a neat and workman like manner. 1.1.6 REMOVAL AND
DISPOSAL: The contractor is responsible for removal of all debris
resulting from the work activities, debris shall be remove to an
off-base site. Contractor will be allow bringing a Dumpster and setting
it in the street side or parking lot but will not be allowed on grass
area. Utilizing base dumpsters for disposal of job site refuse by the
contractor is prohibited. Use of base dumpster(s) will result in action
taken against the contractor or responsible party. 1.1.7 INSPECTION:
Upon completion, Mr. Richard Gonzales (CEOE 210- 925-1029) or
authorized government representative will perform inspection. All
potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified in this
notice for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if
any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by
the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear
concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal
development phase of an acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish
the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but
communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and
recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentially as to the
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested
