The purpose of this modification is to clarify that the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM2) services to be acquired for the USMC DRPM AAA from Aladon LLC of 6 Deerfield Road, Asheville, NC 28803, are considered to be a commercial item. As a result, Note 22 is deleted from the synopsis and the closing date for response is 17 August 2000. The requirement remains unchanged that the U.S. Marine Corps Direct Reporting Program Manager for Advanced Amphibious Assault (DRPM AAA) intends to award a sole source contract to Aladon LLC for Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM2) logistics training for the Marine Corps Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAAV). RCM2 is a copyrighted training system proprietary to Aladon. The training will consist of RCM2 training classes for 60 DRPM AAA personnel, training and certification of RCM2 facilitators, and an RCM2 pilot program to examine AAAV systems to include: electric system, automotive drivetrain, marine drive train and hydraulic system. The pilot program will include facilitator mentoring, project technical support and a presentation to the DRPM AAA senior management.
